This album is epic and beautiful. People can say "annoying voice"

, and "Joni Mitchell rip-off". I however...don't think that. I think it's one of the most beautiful albums I have heard in a really long time. Once you can move on from being obsessed with the origins of a

sound, you might see how moving it is. It also helps being from northern California... because there is something so visceral and nostalgic about Joanna Newsoms music. It reminds me of summer in northern California. How hot, and romantic, and pensive it is

. Just saying.

Next would be a crowd favorite.

Beachhouse-Teen Dream.

It's good. You love it. We all miss Fleetwood Mac...so now we don't have to.

But for reals.....such a good album. It captures something. late 20-30 something angst I guess.

Since I posted something. I suppose life (drinking) got in the way of my writing (sloppily mashing the keyboard with champagne holdin hand).

Things have changed, people have changed, but one thing always remains the same....your all drunks! And I like you!

Some bullet points... I will try to go chronologically

We moved into our new house

With a new kitchen

Many amazing people visited

Got an edition to the family, Mason

we camped

We cooked, drank, and I threw up a few times. No need for a picture on that one.

Some of us got engaged!

Rachel opened an awesome business, that has beer!!!

I got a promotion....they didn't allow me to take a drunk picture of that....

And now I am awaiting winter, in therapy, planning vacations, and learning how to d.j... Tomorrow.

All in all the last year has been topsy turvy... Some times tough, tempered with the awesome!

Heres to the upcoming Thanksgiving, x-mas...and me stayin on top of this shit in 2011....the FUUUUUUUTTTTTTTUUUUURRRRRREEE...

Fever ray

She is awesome awesome awesome. Was a hard sell for me the first time I heard it until I saw the videos and what have you. Seeing her live sealed the deal that this lady is now in my list of favorite artists... Bjork, look out!

Sin Fang Bous:

I love this guy. His album is great all the way through, and he is cute to boot! I have cooked many a meal with his album as my soundtrack.

Anhony and the Johnsons-The Crying Light:

Sad and languid. Lovely. Saw him perform at the schnitzer, and I wept in my overpriced pinot gris.

Grizzly bear-Vectamist:

We all know we all loved it.

Dear Zachary:

It officially came out in October of 2008, but it was in 2009 that it ripped myself and most people I know into little piles of sad.

Willow's goin away party.....We talked, we laughed, we drank, and we danced. Willow has lived here about a year and a half, but It feels so much longer, and too short at the same time. Last night people got together to celebrate just that, well that and some awesome dancin fun drinkin bang-dilly awesomeness. Since Willow has been here we have lived together, gone to Astoria, traveled to Oroville, go up to the summit of M.t St helens, gone campin, slumber partied, pub crawled, had dinner nights, roasted auggie and I (amongst others) have shared some amazing times with her. I'm going to miss my friend. She's gone too soon.

I went campin again. This time with an all girl group of girls who dig girls. It was good times! Convinced them that Tequila is a good idea, They made great food, I ate a lot of s'mores, and yahtzee'd the night away.

We been camp'n! A bunch of us went camping outside Estecada. 7 tents roughly 15 people, 2 dogs, and a fuck'n gaggle of booze. The rain was relentless, but we had the mosquito net tent which quickly became the Tequila tent. Upon entering one would be given tequila and then "serenaded" by all of us with hand claps to a mexican song and cheering all mexi-like. Nothing like a friendly 7 shots to make you forget about the rain and your dignity. IT WAS A BLAST! Took awesome drunk pictures with a light cause we are "Arteeests".

We went to the town of Mossy Rock, WA for a birthday cabin. It was awesome. We did a wine tour (berry wine tour if you want to call it what it was) and we drank, ate, played games, and enjoyed a slower life, a slightly drunker life in a nicer home. I had so much fun! Nicole and I found a dock in the middle of the night, drunk. I felt like I was in Stand by me, though Im not sure why. We formed the band Das Puddles. We are here for to rock you.

We all went to Auggies' works christmas party. Yes its April, but isn't that just another word for christmas? no? Well who's countin, that's what I say. Open bar+all of us=awesomeness. Auggie got cut off by our waitress, and that was funny. I say it here because I have to keep an un-spoken promise to Carrie Foudey that no one lets him live that down. And I'm nothing if not a promise keeper. I had like 7 greyhounds cuase I like to keep it real, real classy. So yah, drinkin is fun basically.

Oroville, Easter, and me

We went to O-town for Easter. The weather was FUCKING WONDERFUL! Auggie met the rest of the McKeys, and we actually met some of the Azevedos, which was......Waspy. It was great/stressful. Oroville has changed some, but will always be the same...in most ways. According to my uncle Buzz, the hotel Auggie and I were staying in had cameras and was watched by the cops cause they owned it...which is nice. My grandma has now managed to own like a thousand chickens and pit bull thats on the run from the law. AMPM is still where its at! Crackheads are still Orovilles most natural and abundant resource, next to indian/native american casinos. Rock band thinks I'm a rockstar. But seriously folks...It was beautiful! The sun was out the whole time, and the nights were warm. The wildflowers were out and so were the birds, frogs, and crickets. And among all that, were two fags, and redheaded sexpot.....now thats easter.

So I just paid for my flikr account so I can start posting pictures again. yay! So yah, back in January we had our dinner night. The theme being winter picnic cause I'm gay and I make people eat dinners that are themed. The main theme being alcohol and what goes best with it. This night stuffed burgers were on the menu and I HELPED! Short story short, we had fun, missed Nathan and Leanne (a dinner night staple) and we saw Caroline, Danny, and little Lola before they moved here 2 1/2 months later. I made corn.

New York sure is lucky

Nathan and leanne left for New York. So we sent them off with booze laughs. There so many things to say about being sad that they are gone, but I'll put those aside and use them to guilt into letting us crash at their pad in the "New York City". heh. So happy for them, Its gonna be so awesome for the both of them. I can't wait to see what Leanne makes next. Love you both, and it wont be too long before we eat home made corn dogs together again.

NYE Pub crawl 2009

We did our 2nd annual New years eve pub crawl. Started off rocky with the Horsebrass not taking all of us so we had to find another bar (there were over 20 of us) but The Tanker turned out to be perfect. A lot of drinking was done, a lot walking was done, and a lot of fun was had. We started at Rachels and Wendy's, then to the Tanker, then to our house, then to Carrie P's house, then the Bonfire, and lastly to Jess and Nathans (sadly for the last time). OH MY GOD! It snowed hardcore! I've never encountered anything quite like it. Its been awesome, difficult at times, and completely memorable! I had so much fun with so many people I love. I like Astoria

Willow and I went to Astoria for a night. We drink a lot of champagne. Strolled through town in the fog (the only two out) and rocked our best western hotel heated pool and hot tub at 1 in the morning. Oh and we got the cops called on us because we were rebel-rousing in the residential hilly area (that they consider the san francisco of the northwest...yah...right). We ran from the fuzz though so the man didn't hold us down. Neither of us had ever been there and it was awesome. Before I moved to portland the only ideas i had of the pacific northwest were from Goonies. And for a night....we were......GOONIES!!

Thanksgiving ruled this year. Spent the first half of the day drinking and cooking with the loveliest ladies that are Nicole and Willow. I made baked mac n cheese and 2 pies...good pies. This was the probably one of the first thanksgiving of my life that I wanted to eat everything there, all the food ruled. I fell asleep once....that is all.

Sex in the city has down syndrome, poor thing. I cannot, no, will not sit through that part deux. Don't get me wrong, I have a tiny glimmer of hope, the kind of hope you'd need to be drunk to really believe.
